Authorises SMM to use, possess, produce, process and store natural occurring radioactive material (NORMS) at and convey, cause to be conveyed and dispose of radioactive material from site. | Issued to SMM on 13 June 2019. Valid for a period of 10 years, to be reviewed every 5 years. Authorises SMM to pump up to 1000m3 of water per day from 3 production boreholes, located in the mining right area and an adjacent farm, for mining, processing and residue disposal water uses. |

SMM established the Steenkampskraal Rehabilitation Trust, which makes financial provision for mine closure and environmental rehabilitation. | SMM has an EMPr approved by the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) in 2010.
